A man running carnival side shows sets up a man to starve himself but against this background people start being murdered and blackmailed. This is a drab Hammer murder mystery made in an attempt at the film noir style. Honor Blackman and Geoffrey Keen did much better work and Montgomery Tully directed much better films. Both the plot and the script are very weak.
