Just before midnight on Friday the 13th the passengers on a London bus are involved in a crash in which 2 passengers die. The film runs as an intertwined flash back of the events of the lives of the various people on the bus in the lead up to that fateful bus ride. The film shows a range of different aspects of life in Britain in the 1930's and the social conventions of the day. The script is well written and enteretaining despite using various stereotypes as the characters
