Comment
The youngest (Leila Hyams) of three sisters cannot marry until her oldest sister (Dorothy Mackaill) is married, so the eldested sister invents a financee in the army who she then says has been killed. The problem is that she sent a letter to the made up soldier but someone of the same name exists and he (Basil Rathbone) turns up in response to her letter. This is a lightweight romantic comedy from the early sound era with a good performance from Dorothy Mackaill as the avowed spinster falling in love and good support from Leila Hyams as her sister. Not the best performance from Basil Rathbone, but overall an entertaining film.
