A down on her luck waitress (Irene Ware) meets a man (Sidney Blackmer), who has just lost all his money, on a bridge. They each think that other is about to jump off the bridge, but the go back to his house where the come up with scam to make money. He will make her a lady and introduce her to his rich friends and when she marries one of them she will give him some of the marriage settlement, meanwhile he starts selling shares to his friends in his beauty scheme. This is not the best version of the woman pretending to be rich meets the man pretending to be rich who fall for each other. It is however an entertaining film not least because of the interaction between the three main lead characters Irene Ware, Sidney Blackmer and Betty Compson, as the woman that really is in love with Sidney Blackmer. This is 1930's escapism.
