In France in 1880 The Face is responsible for a series of murders. Meanwhile a wealthy banker is after the affections of a younger woman and so set up her boyfriend as a thief and the murderer. Tod Slaughter overacts and hams it up as the lecherous and unpleasant man with the double life.
