A man who drifts between jobs meets and falls in love with a woman who turns out to be a rich heiress and he persuades a famous architect to build his dream house. The land is supposed to be cursed, but is it people or a curse that causes him problems? This is s slow burning British thriller that comes to quite a sudden climax. The direction is quite staid and the performances generally somewhat lacklustre. The film is based on the Agatha Christie novel >Endless Night.
