Will Ferrell is a man who is brought up by Santa with the elves at the north pole, but realises by his size he is not an elf. He leaves the north pole and goes to America to find his real family. James Caan is the father who has his life turned upside down by the arrival and Zooey Deschanel is the shop assistant who befriends him. Despite the silly plot, the film is actually funny and enjoyable, which is helped by good performances from James Caan and Zooey Deschanel.
