When a drum of toxic chemicals contaminates a pool of water it causes the exotic spiders kept by a local man to grow to a giant size and start killing people. It is down to the local sheriff (Kari Wuhrer), her two children (Scarlett Johansson) and her ex-boyfriend (David Arquette) to try and save the town. This is a typical monster movie with the usual plot problems. of giant spiders, though the CGI is better than some films.
