An insight into the life of film director Edward D Wood Jr who wrote and directed some of the worst films ever made and who also enjoyed dessing in women's clothes, especially angora sweaters. There is a good performance from Johnny Depp as Ed Wood and also from Marin Landau as an aging Bella Lugosi. The final part of the film relates the production of Plan 9 From Outer Space that is consistenly voted one of the worst films ever made.
