Title: Dorian Gray
Director: Oliver Parker
Ben Barnes is Dorian Gray, who has his portrait painted by Ben Chaplin and falls under the influence of Colin Firth. Ben Barnes stays young whilst his picture ages, but he uses the gift for amoral womanising, being led astray by Colin Firth. This is quite a dark version of the novel, but the production quality is good giving a something of a feel of the period. The film has a good cast list but the acting is variable and Colin Firth seems miscast in the role of Henry Wotton.
