Comment/Synopsis A Spanish privateer deserts the defeated Armada and pulls into an isolated village harbour for repairs and the captain convinces the locals theBritish lost and the Spanish won. An the Spanish force the local inhabitans to repair the ship, rumours start that actually the British won and the villagers start to rebel. This is a good Hammer swash buckling film that has a nod to the plot of Went The Day Well. Christopher Lee is reliable as ever as the Spanish pirate captain.
