Brittany Murphy is a writer who goes to stay in an old isolated house to complete a script before her deadline. After hearing various spooky noises, she goes into the basement and finds some tapes of the previous couple who owned the house and whose relationship mirrors that of her's with her ex-husband. Whilst there are a few suitably atmospheric scenes, there is not enough plot and Brittany Murphy's performance lacks both passion and fear.
