Steve Carell and Tina Fey are a married couple with children who live in the suburbs and decide to treat themselves to dinner in New York as a date night in their marriage. There are no tables at the restaurant so they pretend to be another couple only to discover that they are mistaken for the other couple who are involved in a blackmail plot with the mob and a politician. This is an entertaining comedy of a couple who find themselves suddenly thrust into a different and dangerous world. It is the good performance of Tina Fey that makes this a surprisingly entertaining film. Whilst the plot is reminiscent of films like Out Of Towners this has more appealing characters and a good mixture of plot and comedy.
