Title: Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
Director: Tim Burton
Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) runs a competition and the prize for the winners is a visit to his chocolate factory. This is a remake of the earlier version of the Roald Dahl book. As can be expected from Tim Burton, this film is visually impressive with its effects, but is also slightly darker than the earlier version. This is an entertaining and enjoyable film and in some ways is an improvement on the earlier version with Johnny Depp giving a good performance as Willy Wonka and he is ably supported by the rest of the cast, including Missi Pyle and Edward Fox as two of the parents and AnnaSophia Robb as one of the chiildren. There is also a suitably creepy cameo from Christopher Lee as Willy Wonka's father.
