A rich heiress wants to marry her boyfriend against her fahter's wishes. She runs off to join him on a boat to Paris, but her father has a plan to teach her a lesson by telling her they have lost all their money so she has to find a way of earning a living.
This is an early Alfred Hitchcock silent film. Whilst the plot is nothing great there is clear evidence of Alfred Hitchcock's creativity as some of the camera work and the shot creation are ahead of its time. A few parts are a bit drawn out, but it is the energetic performance from Betty Balfour which largely carries the film.
