At the latter part of World War 2, a group of American soldiers occupy a castle in Belgium and try and defend it from the advancing Germans. This is a definitely sureal take on the war film genre as it focuses on the relationships between the American soldiers and the castle owners, the local brothel, the bakers and a VW Beetle. This is not really anti-war but more an expose of the absurd effects war has on individuals.
