A family rent a remote mansion on the basis that they look after the building and provide a tray of food for a relative living in a room in one wing of the house. However the house increasingly has bad supernatural influences over the residents. This supernatural thriller builds the tension and has a few set piece shocks. Karen Black and Oliver Reed are good as the couple becoming increasingly distraught, though Bette Davis is a strange casting choice as the aunt.
