A carpenter who business is struggling needs money and his wife (Jane Hylton) approaches his best friend but he think they are having an affair. The two men get into a fight one is killed and the room burns down and as the other one has diappeared it is not clear who is dead and who is alive. This is an uninspiring British crime drama with the highlights being Jane Hylton despite her being too glamourous for a 1950's working class housewife and Irene Handl.
