A young single mother (Loretta Young) who makes ends meet by providing services to rich older men comes up with a plan to make money after her son (Jackie Kelk) is injured in a road accident with a wealthy man (Cary Grant). She cliams that he is very seriously hurt but when this is shown to be a lie, the child is taken away to live with the man and his wife. This has a good performance from Loretta Young as the woman with dubious morals and motives with good support from Cary Grant as the wealthy man trying to do the right thing for the young boy. This was a film from early in the careers of both Loretta Young and Cary Grant.
