Russell Wade is the medical student to Henry Daniell who needs dead bodies for his reseach. Boris Karloff is the enigmatic cab driver who provides the bodies. Boris Karloff gives one of his best performances as the provider of bodies, in this the last film featuring both Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi that was well produced by Val Lewton.
