Dean Jones takes the job as athletics coach in a new town and whilst attending a charity auction buys an ornament that contains a piece of paper. When he reads it he brings back the pirate Blackbeard as a ghost. He then has to try and get rid of him. Typical Disney production with an entertaining performance from Peter Ustinov.
