An atomic test revives a giant ancient dinosaur who works its way way down the east coast of America and then sets about destroying New York. THe film palys on fears of radioactivity with a mixture of acting performances. However it is the monster animated by Ray Harryhausen that is the star of the film, particularly the destruction of New York and the roller coaster.
