Comment/Synopsis

A young woman (Stephanie Beacham) moves into a remote castle with her new husband (Ian Ogilvy) where the consequences of his ancestors (Herbert Lom) start to affect the present. She is raped by a ghost and a severed hand kills the housekeeper. This is a typical Gothic style horror film from the 1970's that for its budget has some good period costumes (Stephanie Beacham has a wonderful array of dresses) and a solid British cast.
