Holly Hunter's boyfriend (Richard Dreyfuss) is killed piloting a plane putting out a forest fire. He comes back as a ghost to help her fly fire fighting planes, only to find she is falling in love with another pilot. This is a love story set against a background of dealing with grief, set against a backdrop of fighting forest fires.
