At the end of the 19th century a woman (Glenn Close) is living as a man and working as a butler in an up market hotel in Dublin. There he meets a man (Janet McTeer) whho is also not what he seems and her life takes a different turn. The film is made by the performance of Glenn Close as the woman living as a man for most of her life with good support from Janet McTeer. Both of them were nominated for Oscars for their performances. There is a good supporting cast including Mia Wasikowska and Pauline Collins.
