Robert Downey Jr is a pilot who, who after he loses his pilots licence, gets recruited by the CIA to fly their planes in Laos during the Vietnam war. He joins Mel Gibson running guns and drugs in covert operations. This is an interesting mix of entertainment and an attempt by Hollywood to examine some of the complexities of this period of American history.
