Lillian Gish

Lillian Gish had a long film career starting in 1912 in silent films and continuing through to the 1980's. She also worked on stage and television. She was on of the great actresses of the silent period, particularly working with director D W Griffith and one of the few who made a successful transition into talkies and television. She was the older sister of Dorothy Gish.
